Blauer Engel For FOSS (BE4FOSS)

2020 年，德国环境署（德语：Umweltbundesamt）发布了蓝天使生态标签（Blue Angel ecolabel ，德语：Blauer Engel）桌面软件生态认证的奖励标准。从 2021 年到 2022 年，KDE Eco 下的 BE4FOSS 项目致力于在自由和开放源码软件社区推动资源和能源效率软件的生态认证。获得蓝天使生态标签分为三个步骤： (1）测量；（2）分析；（3）认证。

获得蓝天使生态标签的好处包括

• Recognition of reaching high standards for environmentally-friendly software design,
• 将自由软件与其他软件区分开来、
• 提高对消费者的吸引力，以及
• Promoting transparency in the ecological footprint of software.
